Can you match my existing texture so the patch disappears?

Why did my last patch crack around its edges?
Usually a mix mismatch: a hard modern patch on a softer old wall concentrates stress at the boundary, and the wall fails around the repair. Compatible material matters more than brand names, especially on the county’s older housing, and it is the difference between a patch and a subscription.
